GTHC Predicts, Spurs at Home
Spurs without an away win in god knows how long, new manager and no doubt the eyes of the football world will be on the London Stadium, it all looks bad from our perspective, cant see us winning this one the way we have been playing, unless there is a massive turnaround its another shit home game, cant predict a loss even though I can see one coming, so agree with Lawro 1-1 it is………….COYI

I think appointing Mourinho as manager is a gamble for Tottenham, I really seriously do.

They have replaced a very popular manager with someone who, after his time at Manchester United, we are not quite sure if we have seen the best of him already.

Will it affect the way Tottenham play? Well, they probably won't be as expansive as they were under Mauricio Pochettino.

But, whatever happens long term, on Saturday Mourinho will give them a lift straight away - he is a different voice, and gives them a fresh approach.

It is going to be interesting to see the way Spurs play, and I don't mean just in terms of their performance against West Ham. I mean in the subtle changes that he might make, if any, to their shape and their playing style.

Lawro's prediction: 1-1

It’s gonna take some extraordinarily good luck like we had with the lost against Burnley a few seasons back

We concede 2 or 3 a game.

Interesting to see if Pellegrini just keeps shuffling the pack but keeps the same tactics of painfully slow passing and trying to walk thru their defence?

Ogbonna being dropped after the Everton game where he and Diop were the only ones to perform still beggars belief. Not had a sniff since and now not match fit having sat out for 5 games. It makes no sense. Same as not trying Arfur as a left sided midfielder when Anderson starts giving it away sloppily.

We might get a goal but they will score 2 or 3.

Stats are just one guide but we have the team that runs the least and is the slowest in the whole league. Pellegrini must have been asleep when Klopp , Dortmund introduces the fast, relentless pressing game to England. Most teams do that now when out of possession but not our Manuel. Still employing same approach and tactics as when at City but with a much bigger, quality squad.

Things could well turn ugly tomorrow. Just cannot see how things are gonna change especially when we have a goalkeeper with the flexibility and agility of Frankenstein

Hopefully we’ll do em 3-0 though.

5-0 to the New Spurs, the newly liberated false 10 Eric Dier with a first half hattrick.

Reading all the hype, you'd think Spurs were playing themselves tomorrow.

I predict a 4-3 win, Cresswell x 2, Ajeti and Haller to score as well. Past glory resurrected.

2-0 Irons followed by 5 defeats on the spin.

I'm expecting a convincing Spurs win.

However, I'm going 2-1 West Ham because that's the sort of unpredictable thing that West Ham do, and that's what's kept me sucked in for over 40 years.

2-1. Nailed on.
